Mr. L. Smalley and Mrs. K. Stockwell would like to extend a warm welcome to our Cool Cymru class. As the oldest pupils in the school, Year 6 children are encouraged to be role models, take on responsibilities, and strive for excellence in everything they do.
We foster a nurturing, stimulating classroom where independence, creativity, and curiosity are key to preparing for the exciting transition to secondary school. Pupils are challenged to develop resilience, critical thinking, and a strong sense of belonging and identity.

Class Timings
The school day begins at 9:00am and ends at 3:15pm.
Uniform
Please make sure your child’s uniform, coats, bags, and water bottles are clearly labelled with their name.
Snack Time
Children may bring in a healthy snack from home or choose a fruit option from Tŷ Bwyd. We kindly ask that children bring a labelled water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day.
Digital Learning Tools
All pupils in Year 6 are provided with logins for the following platforms to support learning both in class and at home:

Reading Eggs – for developing reading fluency and comprehension.

Hwb – to access both Google Workspace and Microsoft Office tools, supporting digital learning and collaboration.

Mathletics – for engaging and differentiated maths practice.

Times Table Rockstars – to sharpen multiplication and division skills.

MyOn – an online reading library filled with high-interest books tailored to your child’s level and interests.
