At Nant-y-Parc Primary School, our Pupil Librarians play a vital role in promoting a love of reading across the school. They work alongside staff and other pupil leadership teams to develop confident reading habits and to encourage all pupils to enjoy books as part of daily school life. Their goals are:

To promote a strong reading culture and ensure every child has a reading book – making reading for pleasure a central part of school life.

To encourage more boys to visit the library and read for enjoyment – widening participation and engagement in reading.

To ensure there are rewards for reading – celebrating success through initiatives such as Reading Eggs champions and book tokens.
By working towards these goals, our Pupil Librarians inspire others, champion reading across the school, and help create a culture where reading is valued, shared, and celebrated.
