The school has achieved the silver award for Cymraeg Campus and is working towards the gold award. This award is achieved by a school for its hard work and dedication in promoting the Welsh Langauge and Welsh ethos. The gold award is based on three core values that we will work towards at Nant y parc.
Value 1:- A celebration of Welsh and its culture.
Value 2:- A positive Welsh identity.
Value 3:- The Welsh language belongs to everybody.
The school will have a 'Criw Cymraeg' that will lead the initiative alongside staff members.
During the year a number of events will be held to support our efforts to achieve this award- your support would be gratefully received.
The weekly newsletter will inform you of the Welsh phrase of the week and the school's progress towards the charter. We also have our Cymraeg campus section on the school website and also a Twitter account that you can follow @CriwCNYP.
Each class will take home a Welsh mascot to support links at home in Welsh!
